Youth Ministry is a part of the Church of Jesus Christ’s ministry designed to make disciples of teenagers and involve them in God’s mission in the World
Grounded in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:20) and Acts 1:8 (“… you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem… to the ends of the earth)
Why Youth Ministry?
The task of the church is to present the gospel message in a given context
The context for adolescents is different
They are biological adults without “adult” maturity and responsibility
Youth Ministry has a theological/developmental rationale.

The short-term goals of Youth Ministry are:
Guide students as they continue/begin their faith journey
Disciple them by teaching them the way of Jesus
Facilitate their participation in the worship and mission of Christ’s Church
